About

Hi, I’m John and I’m the creator and primary walker of Alaska Paws and Paths. I was born and raised in Alaska, and ever since I can remember I’ve always loved dogs. I grew up in a family with two golden retrievers where my experience with dogs first began, and since then, I’ve continued to gain experience with dog sitting and walking through high school, college, and after; including working at ASPCA and through Rover. Over the years, my integration into this field has solidified my commitment to providing exceptional care for people’s pets, and having recognized the need in Anchorage for reliable and professional dog walking services, I made the decision to pursue this endeavor full time.
As a certified pet CPR and first aid provider, as well as a certified member of the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS), I make sure to prioritize the safety and well-being of every dog in my care. I deeply understand the importance of providing the best care possible for our canine companions, and I’m honored to be entrusted with their health and happiness. I would love to work with you and your pets, and am looking forward to fun walking adventures in the future!
